During December through April you can expect little to no rain. Costa Rica Does not have Summer/Winter as we are used to. They have Rainy and Non-Rainy Seasons.

December-April you can expect little to no rain

(December has the highest winds. The locals know this month as "Vientos Navidades" or Christmas Winds).

Aril-Nov you can expect rain

(Typically morning sunshine followed by afternoon showers then sunshine around sunset).

Sept-Oct are the heaviest months of rain

Recognize that even if you travel during the non-rainy (Dec-April) season, you are traveling to a tropical, rainforest environment

Being that this Country is close to the equator, you can expect high humidity
